Family Residence - 2500sq ft - $79,500 Norwalk, OH Wood stove fire burned through second story, causing substantial structure damage, as well as heavy smoke throughout the remainder of the home. All debris and char was removed including: all lathe and plaster, all windows, doors, ceilings, floors, plumbing and electrical. Complete thermal fogging and ozoning was done, removing all remaining smoke and soot odor. Full reconstruction was completed within 90 days of reconstruction start. Reconstruction included: new interior walls, new sub floors, complete new plumbing, complete new electrical wiring, drywall ceiling and walls, new kitchen floors and cabinets, special lighting, new exterior vinyl siding, and much more. Home was originally a rental, but the insured was so pleased with the finish results that they moved into the house rather than re-rent the property. Single Family
Residence - 2900sq ft - $73,700 Wood burning fireplace burned through the second story roof causing severe structural damage to the front half of the residence. The rear potion of the home was heavily covered with soot and smoke odor, requiring the removal of a significant amount of charred and weakened walls, floors and roof. After partial removal of damaged structure, (and after full deodorization), full reconstruction was completed. This included required city code upgrades for electrical, plumbing, structure, etc. Major items replaced included all new windows, new interior and exterior doors, new carpeting and vinyl flooring, new walls, ceilings, trim. RestorePro was called to the loss several days after the fire and found that all plumbing and the cast iron radiators and steam boiler had froze and split open due to the many days of near zero temperatures. Subsequently a complete new hot water heating system was installed. Owner is so pleased that they have decided the best for them is to sell the house, rather than put tenants back in the property. Sports Bar/Restaurant - 5000sq ft - $55,100 Restaurant patron started a fire in the bathroom, causing very heavy soot/smoke damage to the entire facility. Every square inch of the property had to be cleaned with HEPA vacuums, chem-sponges and degreaser. Three roof mounted HVAC systems had to be completely cleaned inside and out, also walls and ceiling were repainted. All electronics, including eighteen 25 & 27” TV’s, two ceiling mounted projection TV’s, three proprietary Point of Sale computers, sound system and more were removed, cleaned, tested and reinstalled. Only one TV required replacement because of the quick response to the heavy smoke damage. Over $50,000 worth of electronics was cleaned and restored for under $6,000! The 1500 sq ft kitchen was completely dismantled, cleaned to Health Department standards, reassembled, AND passed the Health Dept inspection. of a Manufacturing Plant - 6000sq ft - $66,000 Entire office complex was heavily damaged by smoke/soot. RestorePro crews worked Saturday and Sunday to prepare the offices for limited usage at the start of the workweek. The office staff was able to continue operations during the day and the restoration crews started at 6pm and worked 12-hour shifts to completely restore the offices to pre-loss condition within one week. Two HVAC systems were completely cleaned inside and out, and all electronics, 25 computer systems, copiers, fax machines, and more were removed to the electronic diagnostics center, cleaned, tested and reinstalled. Over $150,000 worth of electronics was cleaned and restored and reinstalled for under $11,000! Soot/smoke damage covered all areas of the office equipment including the insides of desks and filing cabinets. 10 unit complex - 1800sq ft - $13,700 Grease fire from kitchen range damaged the apartment contents with a greasy film, leaving an extremely offensive odor on all personal contents and the structure. Restoration crew removed all personal contents to our Contents Restoration department and completely restored all personal items to pre-loss condition. All surfaces of the interior structure were washed with a cleaning solution and a pairing agent to minimize contamination. Ozoning was also performed to further eliminate any remaining odor. - 2100sq ft - $32,700 Fire from an adjoining apartment cause heavy smoke damage to all personal contents of tenant. All furniture and appliances were removed to a garage staging area on the property, cleaned, deodorized and then delivered to another apartment in the complex. Over 150 boxes of other contents were packed out to our Contents Restoration department. All items were cleaned, deodorized in the ozone chamber, repacked and returned to the tenant. Two computer systems and all TV’s and other electronics were removed to the Electronics Diagnostics Center, cleaned, tested and redelivered within 10 days to minimize the inconvenience of not having these “home comforts”. All work took less than 3 weeks. Insured paid in full prior to delivery to the new apartment. Laundromat - 2700sq
ft - $23,900 Overheated commercial clothes dryer burned the mechanicals room and then an active exhaust system distributed heavy smoke/soot throughout the mechanical room and the entire public laundry area. A cleaning of gross soot was completed the first day using commercial HEPA vacuum cleaners so the laundry could re-open to the public the next day. Throughout the next 9 days, crews working 10-hour shifts starting at 10pm cleaned and deodorized all walls and other structure materials. Walls containing the mechanical room were removed and reinstalled the same night so that the Laundromat could reopen on a limited basis the following day. All walls were repainted, wallpaper reinstalled, and a new suspended ceiling was installed. The rooftop HVAC system was cleaned with the RotoBrush duct cleaning system and the flexible portable Video Camera was utilized to confirm all ducts were clean. All 22 clothes dryers were cleaned, serviced and put back in service the same night. Laundromat only lost one day of business! Water
